Hey, I’m
Dr. Catie Buttner.
I help individuals, couples, and groups create a more fulfilling and satisfying sexual relationship with themselves and their partner/s.
My Approach
Collaborative
i believe in the power of collaboration in the therapeutic environment. We’ll always begin with me learning you. Not to change you, or tell you where you went wrong, but to understand what makes you, you. i’ll work closely with you to understand your goals for your sexual well-being and illuminate what might be getting in the way of those goals coming to light.
My Specialties
Affirmative & Relational Psychotherapy
if you’re looking to feel more at peace in your relationship, understand your unique sexual template, learn what really works for you!…then i’m the therapist for you. i specialize in working with clients who have experienced trauma as well as those seeking to explore non-traditional relationship styles (the umbrella of non-monogamy). i work heavily with the connection between your mind and body and find that i relate well to those managing anxieties and compulsive behaviors. i focus on all things plesaure and love working with all bodies but especially perimenopause and menopausal bodies that want to explore pleasure and sexual satisfaction during this season of life.

Sex therapy often involves direct discussions about sexual practices, preferences, and fantasies, as well as exercises to improve intimacy and sexual functioning.
Sex therapy is focused on resolving specific sexual issues or enhancing intimacy, while couples therapy addresses the broader relationship dynamics. These tend to work in conjunction but clients often find themselves in sex therapy when they feel their challenges broaden beyond relational skills.
